Our Dawah

All Praise is for Allah alone the Mighty and Majestic. Alhuda  has been open as a masjid and learning centre since 2007 in Bolton, an area of Greater Manchester.

State of the Ummah

We live in a time where many groups of Muslims decide to follow their imam or their sect whilst neglecting the Sunnah of the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and the way of his companions. Moreover, throughout history and in this time of ours the trial of the dangerous extremist/terrorist sects such as the Khawarij needs tackling via proper education about Islam as it was practiced by the early Muslims who are free from acts such as suicide attacks and the killing of innocents.

The Salafi Methodology

Our Dawah is to call to the Quran and Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, upon the understanding of the Salaf (the righteous predecessors of Islam) in order to practice Islam as it originally was. This is the Salafi methodology.

Activities at Alhuda

We hold weekly lessons covering important topics such as:

  • Correct aqeedah (creed) for a Muslim
  • Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence)
  • Mannerisms and etiquette
  • Major works of the scholars
  • Learning about the deviated groups in order to highlight what errors led to their formation so that we can avoid this
  • Topcis important on a personal level e.g. depression/anxiety
  • Friday khutbahs (sermons) on current topics

These weekly learning circles are open to all. We welcome brothers, sisters, children and families to attend together.

In addition to the above, for a few months each year we hold weekly Dawah stalls at Bolton town centre under City Centre Dawah framework. This is intended to warn against extremism and educate the public, both Muslims and Non-Muslims alike, regarding misconceptions in Islam and to dispel these with evidence.
